Please, help! Exporting to .pdf

Hi guys!

My tiny knowledge of Python prompts me to look for help...
If one of the wise men or women from this forum could help me...

I am using the Tim's plugin to convert pics into cross-stitch patterns, and I like to export the final pic with the grid and symbols to a pdf format file. Then I print in a shop and I get an amazing pattern to enjoy! But I have a question... Could I change the plugin to get the pdf directly? For example, you execute the plugin with Gimp and suddenly you get the pic in .pdf format in your user folder.

Could I do that with Python??? Should I write a new plugin or insert a few lines in Tim's plugin?
Some websites do that fast, but i would pleased if I could use my favourite program Gimp!

After generating the pattern:
You can right click top most layer and choose "New from Visible" which will give you a new layer (with what you see is what you get)
Then choose this new layer and then run the Image into Layers plug-in
which will break that visible layer into many layers (on a new image) which can fit nicely for pdf export.
Then on the newly created image, export to .pdf and while exporting choose (bottom layers first) so that the .pdf shows in correct order.
You could add calls to my script to automate for you but it's not too much work doing manually and you have more control such as file name of pdf and what sizes you want to cut the huge pattern visible layer into (the default settings of Image into layers I find should work fine).
