I am wondering if I should bother add this feature to GL.

Right now as you do things on GL forum you earn GL points.
But there's not really a way to spend the points other than donating to someone but they have no way of spending it other than donating to others.
I was thinking if Topic Sponsoring would be fun to have on GL.
Basically, for any topic you can sponsor it using your GL points.
Then under your avatar (or any member's avatar) it would show a count of topics you have sponsored, if clicked on it'll take you to page showing all topics that you (or that member) has sponsored.
Then under each topic, it'll say Sponsored by X members. if you click on that it'll list members that have sponsored that topic from most GL point sponsorship down to least GL point sponsorship.
What do you all think? should I bother adding it or no?

Tim, I would not use it as I am having difficulty making time for Gimp right now, and I do not see the value to it. I would not use any time for it. Others may feel differently.

Now if you create a topic every month with a challenge, I think it would be more advantageous and would liven up the site.
