Perhaps the contrast created a little glaring, but it was my idea when I looked at this photo.
David as always polishing beautiful images!
Issa, thx for posting these beautiful pictures!

Krikor, a very nice improvement to the picture, too. It's really intersting to see the different looks it gets according to the ways applied. Thanks a lot Krikor.

IMG_7355: This was a great challenge! I created masks for the water and the lattice structure of the bridge - see layers picture.

I am sure I could have come up with various interpretations, but here is my end result.

Impressive the work you have done, David. You are a Master in layer masks. :gimp_clap: :thank_you:

I wanted to add a bit of information about this bridge built in Girona. Also I add a photo about the rivets that the engineer Gustavo Eiffel used to its construction. The same style was used in the famouse Torre Eiffel.
The Eiffel Bridge was constructed where four rivers meet. Girona has got eleven bridges!! The most famous is the one that was constructed by Gustave Eiffel just before the construction of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
I think that it is intersting to know.

IMG_7354: I have been silly with this one - an extremely "garish" bridge!!!

IMG_7507: A simple approach to this photo. Darkened and reduced saturation of the background. Slight adjustment to the girder structure using Colours/Curves and sharpened.

Gustav Eiffel was a well travelled man. In 2014 Issabella showed us the Maria Pia bridge over the river Douro in Portugal. He completed that bridge one year after this one in Gerona.

I love garish David, my own work has been called "an offence to the eyes", however it please me.

I like the garish bridge, too. David, it's surprising how you manage even the smallest parts of the photo.
Here a few more photos to play

Issabella,
Thank you for the kind words, but I only make small changes to photographs. It doesn't involve any artistic skill.

Still playing with my Luminosity & Saturation mask plugins - I think I need to learn to use them with more subtlety.

IMG_7726: Only adjustments with the two plugins.

IMG_7946: I made a selection of the sea and used Colours/Curves to increase the contrast. I then used the Saturation Mask plugin with the inverted selection on the other part of the image.

IMG_8043: A glorious sunset photograph!!!
With the Luminosity Mask plugin I darkened the trees to make them more of a silhouette and slightly increased the contrast on the sea.
I made very slight changes to the colours using the Saturation Mask plugin.

Thanks David for those transformations. The colours came out so good, but the 8043 image is really espectacular, I love it. :happy_purple:
Here others ones to play if you like.
